0022 - A-Gen 53

Another band I have just one track by are Austrian punks A-Gen 53. I know next to nothing about them and I'm indebted to YouTube member MikeyRemembers for what little I do know about the band and the song, Stalingrad-Stumpfsinn:

"A-Gen 53 - Stalingrad-Stumpfsinn

"One of three tracks this austrian punk band contibuted to the compilation "Die Tödliche Dosis". Released in 1981 on the Lustgewinn Schallplatten label.

"line up:

"Claudia Köstl - vocals
Ilse Hoffmann - bass
Gabi - guitar
Marian - drums"

I think once it reaches the ska midsection, this has pretty much ticked all the necessary female punk boxes. It's ok, I think, and provides an interesting look back at some very different musical times, but it's a bit too lo-fi and rough to really recommend, in my opinion.

The one other fact I was able to discern about A-Gen 53 is that they appear to be named after a German contraceptive vaginal suppository. I have nothing more to add...
